Underskatement: San Francisco's Skateboard Film Festival

This Saturday, Victoria Theatre will screen about 24 short films which is a two hour program, followed by afterparty. Underskatement Vol.4 is San Francisco's only skateboard film festival. But this film festival is not necessarily about skateboarding, the emphasis of this Underskatement festival is on the fact that the film maker is a skateboarder. The organizers, Andreas Trolf and David Franklin received nearly seventy five submissions from countries in South America and Europe. The film has animation, documentary, experimental and music videos shot on digital, Super 8 and on 16mm cameras. Adidas has come forward to finance this Underskatement festival; with the help of Adidas the festival will go on tour across Australia and Europe. Underskatement Vol.4 premieres this Saturday at 7:30 pm at Victoria Theatre, tickets cost $7.00 which includes admission to afterparty at the Café Du Nord.

Escape to Bay Area's Angel Island!

Amazing springtime outing is just 40 minutes ferry ride from San Francisco. Angel Island is one of the best eleven Islands in Bay Area, where you can admire and enjoy the 360° view of Bay Area. It seems that this is the right place to have a great overnight sack or a pleasant family picnic lunch or just roam the 12 miles of mission bells and buttercup lined trails. One can find nearly 60 mule deers roaming the Island, red-tailed hawks, hummingbirds, harbor seals and sea lions.
