Coit Tower can be seen from everywhere in San Francisco.
Was built in 1933 from the funds of the eccentric Lillie Hitchcock Coit. She inherently believed in San Francisco and maintaining it's beauty. She also was a big supporter for San Francisco's firemen. Thus, she donated Coit Tower to San Francisco and all San Francisco's Firemen.
The tower was built by Aurthur Brown Jr. whom also built the City Hall building.
Coit Tower was built on Telegraph Hill and is 87M tall.
We will drive by Coit Tower many times during your San Francisco tour with us and we will provide an in-depth historical narrative of Lillie Hitchcock Coit and her tower.
