Sunset/Richmond - San Francisco

The Inner Sunset: South of Golden Gate Park is where this district first developed, and is the location of the University of California, San Francisco. Due to a diverse mix of restaurants along 9^th Avenue and Irving Street, it is now a popular evening destination.

Outer Richmond: North of Golden Gate Park is a residential area with homes first dating from the 1920’s and bordering Ocean Beach, the cities largest beach known for its monster waves and rip tides to the delight of all the surfers. This stretch of coast from Lands End to Fort Funston, has flat sandy beaches for strolling and paved walkways for biking and skating.

Lincoln Park, in the Richmond District at 34^th Avenue & Clement St. is the home of the Palace of the Legion of Honor museum which displays a collection of 4,000 years of ancient and European art in an exquisite Beaux-Arts building in an unforgettable setting overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.
