A collaboration between the San Francisco International Gift Fair, Moscone Center's recycling program and Bay Area non-profit 'Under One Roof'; has resulted in 15 pallet loads of donated goodies, valued at $22,000, which is being donated in support of Under One Roof's HIV/AIDS initiatives. 'Under One Roof' staff members and volunteers, supported by the San Francisco International Gift Fair, Moscone Center staffs and contractors had collected materials from exhibiting companies and facilitated delivery to Under One Roof's retail store.
Mark Burns, executive director of Under One Roof said, "We continue to be deeply appreciative of GLM and the San Francisco International Gift Fair vendors who contribute so generously to help us in our mission". "These donations will enable us to increase our support of AIDS organizations throughout the Bay area. The program is a great opportunity for us and an excellent example of a great social enterprise --, the SF Gift Fair and Under One Roof, all working together for mutual benefit."
During the January market, the SF International Gift Fair had partnered with Under One Roof org to host a shopping event for Gift Fair attendees and exhibitors at its Castro Street location, giving participants a 20% discount on all merchandises. "The San Francisco International Gift Fair is proud to partner with and support the work of Under One Roof, and we look forward to continuing this relationship into the future," said Lynn White, show manager.
