SAN FRANCISCO United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in California last weel to meet with government headers and know about the state's aggressive efforts to combat global warming.
Ban, a former foreign minister of South Korean the U.N. chief in January, lunched with Mayor Gavin Newsom at the historic downtown Ferry Building. His San Francisco plan as well included a visit to the place where the U.N. Charter was signed in 1945, and talk about the World Affairs Council last week.
