San Francisco Zoo Probes Tiger Attack

SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco Zoo has closed its Lion House, an put on view where the public could even watch the big cats eat a meal, while officials inspect the injury of a keeper by a Siberian tiger.

The woman, who has worked at the zoo since 1997, was rushed into operation Friday night to save her slash limb. Her family requested that her identity and state not be released, zoo and San Francisco General Hospital officials said.

San Francisco tops U.S. 'gay-friendly' destinations

San Francisco was recently named as the top "gay-friendly" U.S. destination in a survey of gay travelers that was conducted by the Travel Industry Association.

Following San Francisco on the list's top 10 were Key West, Fla.; New York City; Fire Island that is part of Long Island in New York; Provincetown, Mass.; Los Angeles; Miami-South Beach, Fla.; Las Vegas; New Orleans, and as well Palm Springs-Palm Desert, Calif. The national study was conducted by the Travel Industry Association in partnership with Harris Interactive and Witeck-Combs Communications.

San Francisco Giants' Latest Big Move

In another sign that Giants GM Brian Sabean had lost his attitude, the team then had added 30-year old Damian Moss to its break headfirst staff. Moss that was traded by the Giants in 2003 is coming off a astral 0-5, 7.67 ERA year with the Long Island Ducks of the Independent Atlantic League.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Officials in this city had recently announced a more violent promotion and marketing plan for handcrafted lanterns plus local tourism as they participated in the two-week 4th Annual Lantern Festival in San Francisco, California.

HSBC recently announced that its wealth and tax advisory services practice extended its staff in San Francisco and East Palo Alto.

Joining the practice in San Francisco is Thomas Broderick as a MD, Eric Anderson and Yichen Shepard as directors and Jacquie Oreo as a manager. Broderick would now be responsible for tax services to corporate and international clients in the Bay Area.

Man injured in San Francisco shooting

One man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital last morning after being injured in a shooting, which took place at Franklin and Post streets, the San Francisco Police Department reported.

The wounded sustained a gunshot wound to the hand and is now in stable condition, a fire dispatcher reported.

San Francisco festival honors Lucas

The 50th annual San Francisco Film Festival would now honor director George Lucas with a one-time award named after festival founder Irving "Bud" Levin.

"In so many other ways, George typifies Bud's will and bequest, with his deep approval for the art of film and the role of San Francisco in world cinema, and with his flair for private enterprise," said Graham Leggat, exec director of the San Francisco Film Society.

San Francisco - The U.S. Navy has rejected plans to payment its recent and most authoritative warship in the City San Francisco as of concerns, which the city does not support the military.
