How Weird Street Faire Hits SF

The How Weird Street Faire is an electronic outdoor street music festival held in every month of May in San Francisco. The fest will be held on several blocks of Howard Street and in the SoMa neighborhood. The festival bills itself as a "peace event" that will be featuring art, vendors and multiple stages of music. This is a fundraiser for the World Peace through Technology Organization.

Several charities will set up booths with information about various issues such as sustainability. This festival 'How Weird' is claimed to be the first electronic music street festival in North America. And this is the ninth How Weird Street Faire with more than 5,000 people are expected to visit in all kinds of costumes like dinosaurs and stilt walkers in plaids, stripes and floppy hats. People who are visiting the fair are encouraged to act silly and spontaneously perform.
