KTVU, Cox Television's Fox associate in serving the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose TV market, Wednesday it became the first TV station in the market to broadcast all its local newscasts in the high definition. As part of the HD launch, KTVU exposed a new set and a new on-air graphics, with a new live drive time traffic HD mapping computer including real time traffic sensors.
The station joins more than a dozen other TV stations athwart the country that broadcast home news in HDTV.
