SAN FRANCISCO - Robert Redford's Sundance Cinemas has bought San Francisco's Kabuki 8 Theatre, which it will run as a state-of-the-art self-regulating movie house.
'As San Francisco holds a special place in my heart and is one of the nation's enormous centers of sovereign film, I am particularly thrilled to have found such a perfect home for Sundance in this city,' Redford was quoted as saying by The Hollywood Reporter.
Sundance will take over the theater before or during the San Francisco International Film Festival next month, The Reporter said.
