Morro Bay, California

Morro Bay is a waterfront city located about 15 miles northwest of San Luis Obispo County, California, US. It is almost halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Morro Bay State Park was founded by Franklin Riley in 1870 as a port for the export of dairy and ranch products.  It’s a most pleasant tourist destination. It has very mild weather all year long.

People who visit Morro Bay usually come to marvel at the 576-foot tall Morro Rock, one of the “Nine Sisters”. Moro Rock, a series of volcanic peaks is situated at the mouth of a local waterway that forms a 12-mile line between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. It’s a home to endangered peregrine falcons and other migratory birds.

Giant chessboard at the Embarcadero is one more local san francisco attraction in the town of Morro Bay. This Giant Chessboard was enthused by the giant chessboards in Germany and features three-feet-tall chess pieces. Atascadero State Beach and Morro Strand State Beach are the near perfect beaches which have gentle waves and lovely views. Cabrillo Peak is also a one more popular tourist attraction in Park. Morro Bay State Park also has many 360-degree overlooks as well as many opportunities for swimming.

The town of Morro Bay also provides an area restaurants and fish markets with the freshest of sea foods. Harbor side Morro Bay offers a large variety of unique shops such as Morro Bay hotels, motels, bed, breakfast etc.
