San Francisco Zoo

In May, 2004, the spacious new African Savanna exhibit opened, featuring giraffe, zebra, kudu, ostrich and other African wildlife roaming together in a lush, 3-acre habitat.

The San Francisco Zoo is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, 365 days a year, including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

The six-acre Children's Zoo is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Extended weekend and special summer (Memorial Day through Labor Day) hours are 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
