Cable Car Picture Shot - Day 2 Tour

The official name of "Rice-A-Roni" hill is Hyde Street Hill. However, this is where you might recognize the famous shot of the "San Francisco Treat" commercials. With Alcatraz and Angel Islands in the distance, one is welcomed by the true beauty of San Francisco.

Here the cable car makes its way up the steepest grade in San Francisco. A grade that even tops Nob Hill on the California Line. During the Day 2 tour will ride the cable car as a tour group atop Nob Hill by Grace Cathedral, The Fairmont Hotel and Top of the Mark.

If you want to see Rice-a-Roni hill by yourself, then take a car up to Hyde and Chestnut. This is the best viewing of the cable cars steepest climb with Alcatraz and the San Francisco Bay in the background.
