Ghirardelli Square & Chocolate Store - Day 2 Fanatics Tour Stop
It doesn't get better than getting fresh chocolate from the chocolate store
The old Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory
Nothing better than fresh Chocolate from a Chocolate Store.
Our Most Popular Snack Stop!
Packed with shops like little Cable Car souvenirs. Few of the 60 plus specialty shops here are really special. However, the elegant 19th-century factor and mill buildings are worth exploring.
Domingo Ghirardelli went bankrupt selling gold prospecting supplies to 49'ers. So he changed tack and begain importing cocoa beans. In 1893 he took over his former wool mill and opened it as a chocolate factory.
Today the chocolate factory is a retail complex that's known for staging lots of live entertainment in its West Plaza. Look for jugglers, magicians, mimes and live bands every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the year.
During your day 2 San Francisco tour, we will stop at Ghirardelli Square and the Chocolate Store at the west end of Fisherman's Wharf.
