Located in an art deco building near the San Francisco Shuttle tour pickup spot
Fog City Diner - San Francisco
Several years ago, a major credit card company featured this art-deco "diner" in a national ad campaign, and tourists flocked to try the food here. During those heady days for the FCD, wait times were long, reservations impossible, and the quality of food and service suffered. Luckily, those times have long since passed and a more reliable, stable crowd comprised of tourists, business people, and locals has settled in. Further evidence of a return to glory came recently when a rising young chef took over the duties of head chef, and added his interpretations of high-end comfort food and re-interpreted American classics to the menu. Although it can vary, service is generally very professional and timely.
