Step-by-step driving instructions:

1) Take 101 North to San Francisco
2) Take I-280 Ramp (listed as Port of San Francisco/Daly City)
3) Bear right onto the 280 Ramp (Don't take 380 to 280)
4) Take the King Street EXIT
5) Continue on King Street (.5 miles)
6) King Street turns into The Embarcadero Street
7) Go 1 mile on The Embarcadero Street
8) You will see the Ferry Building with the huge clock tower. Just beyond the Ferry Building you can park at Pier 3 (Hornblower Cruises) for about $20/day, or continue 2 blocks further to the corner of Broadway (50 Broadway St.) and park for about $16/day.


From Oakland/East Bay

Step-by-step driving instructions:

1) Take I-880 North to San Francisco (2.7 miles)
2) Take I-80 W Ramp (listed as San Francisco Bay Bridge)
3) Bear left onto the I-80 W ramp go (5.8 miles)
4) You're now going over the Bay Bridge
5) Take the Fremont Street EXIT
6) Continue on Fremont and then turn right on Howard Street
7) Turn left onto Embarcadero Street (where Howard Street ends) and you will see the Ferry Building 2 blocks ahead, with the huge clock tower. Just beyond the Ferry Building you can park at Pier 3 (Hornblower Cruises) for about $20/day, or continue 2 blocks further to the corner of Broadway (50 Broadway St.) and park for about $16/day.

From Sausalito/Muir Woods/Marin County

Step-by-step driving instructions:

1) Take CA-1 (about 1 mile)
2) Bear left on US-101 South (7.2 miles)
3) You're now going over the famous Golden Gate Bridge
4) Continue toward Marina Blvd (.3 miles)
5) Bear right at Marina Blvd (.9 miles)
6) Continue on Laguna Street (.2 miles)
7) Bear left at Bay Street (go 1.4 miles)
8) Turn right at The Embarcadero Street (go 1.3 miles)
9) The Ferry Building will be ahead on your left, with the huge clock tower. Three blocks BEFORE you get to the Ferry Building you can park for about $16/day at the surface parking lot at Broadway & The Embarcadero (50 Broadway St), or continue two more blocks and turn left into Pier 3 (Hornblower Cruises), where you can park for about $20/day.

(Parking Page): Good choices are Pier 3 (Hornblower Cruises) which is one block north of the Ferry Building (in the direction of Fisherman's Wharf). Parking is about $20/day. Three blocks north of the Ferry Building at the corner of The Embarcadero and Broadway (50 Broadway) is a surface parking lot for about $16/day.
