Don’t expect pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, or lasagna at this small, intimate dining room (although North Beach isn’t too far away). This is a temple of high-style Italian cuisine, with items such as freshly made tortellini and ravioli, osso bucco, and lamb. Fresh flowers, muted lighting, pale yellow walls, and specially-made crystal bespeak a refined attention to detail.

High-end Italian cuisine in refined, reserved surroundings. Some might think it caters more to an older (and old money) crowd, but one can’t argue with the fantastic food, impeccable service, and a beautiful setting in a converted chapel.

Tip: We recommend the chef tasting menu (with or without paired wines), which is a very good value and offers a nice variety of tastes. The wine list contains a huge selection, perhaps the largest in the entire Bay Area, of high-end, and often hard-to-find.
